we’ve already hit the half way mark for the year and it’s holiday time for us in the VETiS, which is a partnership between yum and the Highlands LLEN.

yum brings innovative screen and multimedia training to students currently studying their year 11 & 12 across Ballarat. its competency based training and assessment within a workplace context.

so yum had to create the workplaces – one for gamers “” and one for designers “”. both sets of learners are engaged in the same skill development but with a bent to each workplaces area of interest. both  groups are travelling fantastically through some really practical assessment task which build into an e-portfolio for the learners by the end of the course.

some highlights? transforming Barack Obama into an extra from Avatar, created 3D glass chess pieces, weird posing for image stills and we are just moving into putting it all together online.

congratulations to the VETiS guys and gals for getting through the 1st half of this year. we’ve got some great things planned for next semester…
