Western Sydney Local Health District – Yum Studio eLearning – training and staff capacity

Western Sydney Local Health District had to find efficiencies for health staff training and implemented a blended learning model for nurses’ clinical competencies. The model involved using Moodle Learner Management System to deliver compulsory knowledge skills training before staff presented for face-to-face assessment. Yum Learning supported staff capacity for creating eLearnng resources for delivery from their Moodle in line with their blended learning model.

Yum Learning trained their team in the accredited eLearning competencies from the diploma in training and assessment (now TAE. After an initial face-to-face induction in West Sydney, training was conducted entirely online using GoToMeeting.

Individual projects spanned training options for management, nurse education and clinical staff.
